Aileen Lambert is a traditional singer, songwriter and composer from County Wexford, whose work is rooted in the rich song traditions of Ireland and the southeast. Her singing draws on close engagement with traditional repertoire while also embracing new songwriting, setting poetry and creating songs that reflect landscape, history, folklore and lived experience. 

Aileen will share a selection of songs featuring trees, birds and the natural world, exploring the metaphors and floating verses of traditional song. The songs will take us among nests, trees, bushes and briars, revealing the rich imagery and symbolism woven through these enduring traditions.
