Reviving forgotten skills ~ Walking Tour Mount Briscoe Hedgerows

Walk with Hedgerows Ireland accredited professional hedgelayer Eamonn McLoughlin to discuss Mount Briscoe field boundaries to learn about the ancient arts of coppicing & laying. Explore coppiced hedgerows, recently laid hedgerows, gappy mature hedgerows, unflailed, infilling, native species varities and more.

Hedgerows provide significant benefits for farming, from reducing soil erosion to providing shelter for livestock. They are also crucial in supporting farmland biodiversity, and mitigating climate change and flooding. So join us for a practical session to to discuss and ask questions about hedges.
