Curious about fungi? Have a love of fibre? Combine your interests and learn how to use mushrooms to create beautiful, vibrant and nontoxic dyes perfect for any natural fibre.

Come listen and learn about the interconnectedness of pigments and the amazing array of colorants that the natural world offers. In this mushroom dye & pigment workshop Freda will teach you how to extract and unlock the mushrooms 'tinctoria' of common, easy to identify wild mushrooms. Freda will cover general mushroom dye techniques, types of mushrooms and walk through the process of making dye baths and dyeing the fibre.

Note: Tickets purchased for this event are refundable less an administration fee of €2.00 once you present your tickets for scanning at HedgeRow Fest Event 2025.

Some of the HedgeRow Fest 2025 events/workshops have capacity constraints and the organisers are required to limit the number of tickets sold. This charge is to limit the number of possible 'no shows' on the day and disappointment to those who were unable to purchase a ticket as the event was sold out. 

Your credit/debit card will be refunded the event and/or general admission ticket price less the administration fee within 72 hours of attendance.
