Join Richard Markham, Hedgerows Ireland acreddited hedge layer to observe the technique and skills of laying hedges. The class will explain the history and benefits of hedge laying, including its role in creating stock-proof barriers, promoting biodiversity, and rejuvenating hedgerows. 

Richard will demonstrate the techniques, such as cutting stems, creating hinges and bending them over to form a dense, interwoven barrier. Come and see this skill demonstrated with traditional hand tools.
